The Great Tao opened the beginning; the Mysterious Primordial expounded transformation. His teaching handed down through past and present, his posthumous title is Donghua. A general received into the Han court withdrew to the Zhongnan Mountains and gained the immortal compact. His transforming presence ever surpasses the turns of the kalpas; his manifestations remain always in the dusty world. He enlightened a brilliant worthy of the Tang dynasty, who awakened to the secret of the immortals. With flying sword and the selling of medicines, he admonished and transformed without limit. Of the lofty eminence of a chancellor at the golden court, he had the courage and resolve to firmly decline the precious seal. His rosy robe ascended on high; he is the common ancestor of South and North. Heaven again brought forth a hero among men, whose Tao reached everywhere across the four seas. He brought forth seven golden lotus blossoms and spread the immortal lineage through the ten directions. The principle of long life has covered past and present; the mystery and wonder descend from heaven across all the land. Vastly expanding the supreme Tao, widely delivering the ignorant and lost.
