His lineage flows from Western Shu; his traces appeared at Longxing. Giving his wealth to compound medicines, he relieved the multitudes; accumulating deeds and merit, he cultivated the supreme Tao. He received the teaching of the Iron Master and holds the thunder books of the Jade Bureau. On his body he wears the hundred-patch robe that subdues demons; in his hand he holds the five-brightness fan that quells ghosts. On heaven's behalf he proclaims transformation, enchanting jujubes and writing talismans. He moves wind and thunder within a hand's breadth and cuts down demons beneath the stars of the Dipper. His Tao is equal to the Supreme Ultimate (Taiji); he is ranked among the immortals. Like pine, bamboo, and a wild crane he roams at will; like a lone cloud near and far, he is ever at ease. In every quarter he expounds the teaching, master of the myriad methods; in every place he opens altars, a model for those who come after. Lord of the Lineage of All Heaven, the Supreme One-Origin Elder Sa, True Lord, Heavenly Worthy Who Forever Stirs the Mysterious Wind.
