China Taoist Association

According to the “China Taoist Association” WeChat official account, the Eleventh National Congress of the China Taoist Association was held in Beijing from December 29 to 30, 2025, attended by 361 representatives of the Taoist community from 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, and 54 specially invited representatives.

The congress elected the Eleventh Council and Standing Council of the China Taoist Association. It elected Li Guangfu as president; 18 people as vice presidents: Meng Zhiling (resident), Xie Rongzeng, Wu Chengzhen, Ji Hongzhong, Deng Xinde, Yuan Zongshan, Liang Chongxiong, Wu Lizhi, Tang Chengqing, Guo Hanwen (resident), Sun Chongshan, Tang Siyue, Li Shaohua, Sun Mincai, Li Zongqing, Yu Zongshi, Yao Shuliang, and Li Hechun; and Kuang Sheng as secretary-general.

The congress nominated Zhang Gaocheng as chairman of the Advisory Committee, and nominated its vice chairmen and members.

The congress elected the first Board of Supervisors of the China Taoist Association, electing Huang Zhi'an as chief supervisor, along with deputy chief supervisors and supervisors.

According to its official website, the China Taoist Association was founded in 1957 and is a nonprofit patriotic religious organization and body for religious affairs uniting Taoists across the country.
